HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6587RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE AZUSA. 6587 COUNCIL OF THE GAIL ELLIOTT FOR TO THE CITY OF WHEREAS, it is incumbent in a human life to serve mankind, and WHEREAS, GAIL ELLIOTT, who from the time beginning in 1957 when he started as a part time teacher at Ellington School, until August 26, 1977, when he retired spanning twenty years, and WHEREAS, in this single-minded devotion to serve the children of this community, he provided direction and operation to the Track and Cross -Country Program, as well as securing The Azusa Civitan to co-sponsor activities for children, and consistently provided needed assistance at the San Diego and Catalina Island Recreation Department Beach Camps, and WHEREAS, Gail's concern with helping children to develop fundamental skills, good inter -personal relationships and exhibit good sportsmanship has resulted in providing the City's future adults with that preparation so necessary in a world of rapidly changing values and multi -faceted stresses; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa collectively lauds GAIL ELLIOTT and commends him for his exemplary committment to the youth of the City of Azusa.
