Present at roll call: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden, City Attorney and City Clerk. The minutes of the last regular meeting of January 6th and the adjourned session of January 17, 1936 were read and approved as read. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold, that the recommend- ation of the Azusa City Planning Commission relative to amending the Zoning Ordinance, changing a portion of Paramount Heights Tract from a Resident - al Zone to a Heavy Industrial Zone, be denied. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. A communication from Louis H. Burke, Legal Counsel for the League of Calif- ornia Municipalities relative to the Telephone and Telegraph Franchise, dated January 8, 1936, was read. Councilman Chester offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF- ORNIA, EMPLOYING JAKE WILLIAMS, JOHN HIBSCH, HARVEY SEARS, WILEY ROBERTS, GEORGE MOODY AND EMILE GIPP. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Chester that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1480. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Chester offered an Ordinance entitled: Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Carr that this Ordinance be adopted as read and numbered Ordinance No. 321. Carried by the following vote of the Council: . Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. 329 7:30 P.M. Roll call. Minutes read and approved. Recommendation of the City Planning Commission denied. Communication from Louis H. Burke, read. RESOLUTION NO. 1480 ADOPTED. ORDINANCE NO. 321 ADOPTED. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 294 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIF- ORNIA, OF FOUR ZOPiES, CONSISTING OF VARIOUS DISTRIC^1S AND PRESCRIBING THE CLASSES OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, M D IMPROVEMENTS IN SAID SEVERAL ZONES AND THE USES THEREOF, AND PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF" ADOPTED AUGUST 3, 1931, AND BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION TO BE ENTITLED SECTION 7 - B. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Carr that this Ordinance be adopted as read and numbered Ordinance No. 321. Carried by the following vote of the Council: .
