RESOLUTION NO. 6592 - A
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA ENDORSING THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S ANTI -
GRAFFITI CAMPAIGN
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, the defacement of public and private property
by graffiti has reached epidemic proportions,
and
WHEREAS, the effect of this blight is to cast a pall
of degenerate values onto a community whenever
such activities are rampant, and
WHEREAS, the most effective method to combat this has
been found to be an aroused and cooperative
community, holding closely a strong feeling
of pride in property, and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce, through its Anti -
Graffiti sub -committee, has taken definitive
action to diminish, if not eradicate, the
effects of this destructive activity from
our community,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Azusa strongly endorses and supports the
efforts of the Chamber of Commerce, and urges all indivi-
duals, agencies and institutions to fully cooperate with
its Anti -Graffiti Committee in its efforts to take a
positive and direct stand against what ultimately affects
us all as well as the beauty of our flourishing city.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of
November, 1977, by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Arkison, Solem
NOES: Councilmen: None
