HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 658211 RESOLUTION NO. 6582 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING FIREMAN RICHARD QUAAS FOR HIS COURAGEOUS ACTION ON SEPTEMBER 10, 1977. WHEREAS, on September 10, 1977, there occurred a serious traffic accident in a nearby city, and WHEREAS, as a direct and immediate result of this accident, a lady was seriously injured, unconscious, and trapped in her automobile which had a ruptured gasoline tank, and WHEREAS, RICHARD QUAAS, disregarding the extremely dangerous situation, courageously pulled the lady to safety sparing her further injury and possible death, and WHEREAS, Fireman QUAAS, in conducting himself in such a heroic manner truly proves his value as an unselfish and compassionate person, as well as one who is professionally well prepared to effectively deal with situations of high risk; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa, commends RICHARD QUAAS for his gallantry and extends heartfelt congratulations to him for this supreme instance of human achievement.
