HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 65811 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6581 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6566 ADOPTED AUGUST 15, 1977, REQUESTING THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO CONSOLIDATE A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1977, WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTION. WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Azusa on August 15, 1977, adopted resolution number 6581 which said resolution was entitled as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA REQUESTING THE COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO CONSOLIDATE A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1977, WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1977, PURSUANT TO SECTION 5342 OF THE EDUCATION CODE. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa, California, does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows: SECTION 1. That resolution number 6566 adopted by the City Council on August 15, 1977, is hereby rescinded. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Azusa is hereby directed to file certified copies of this resolution with the Superintendent of Schools, the Registrar - Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, and the Superintendent of Citrus Community College District. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution, shall enter the same into the book of original resolutions of said City and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records in the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately. Passed, approved, and adopted this 3rd day of October, 1977. Mayor STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES ) ss.
