HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6673l 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6673 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A SANITARY SEWER SERVICE CHARGE TO BE IMPOSED UPON PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY. WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is served by a completely developed sanitary sewer system, portions of which are immediately in need of extensive improvements and there exists a definite need for progressed reconstruction of the system; and WHEREAS, portions of the existing sewer system are in such poor state of repair that extensive maintenance costs are incurred to assure their continued operation; and WHEREAS, the City Council is empowered under state law to establish a sewer service charge for the purpose of producing revenue to meet the needs of replacement of the portion of the sanitary sewer system, to meet special maintenance costs, and for other uses and purposed attendent thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa, California, does hereby resolve, declare, and order as follows: SECTION 1. There is hereby established a sanitary sewer service charge to be imposed upon all property within the City on the following basis: (a) Each residential unit shall pay a charge of $3.00 per month. (b) Each commercial unit other than laundromats.and carwashes, shall pay a charge of $5.00 per month. (c) Each industrial unit shall pay a charge of $10.00 per month. (d) Each laundromat and each carwash shall pay a charge of $10.00 per month. SECTION 2. The snaitary sewer service charge shall be collected with the City utility charge and shall be effective with all billing July 1, 1978. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 5th day of June , 1978.
