HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 66370 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6637 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DIRECTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO RE- CIND AND CANCEL ITS PREVIOUS SELECTION OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED AZUSA CBD REDEVELOP- MENT PROJECT AND ITS PREVIOUS FORMULATION OF THE PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF SUCH PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA; AND DIRECTING THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO SELECT NEW BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND TO FORMULATE A NEW PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE NEWLY SELECTED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. WHEREAS,, pursuant to Section 33310 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code, Section 33000. et seq.),. the City Council of the City of Azusa has designated the area within the incorporated limits of the City (as of May 6, 1974) as a redevelop- ment survey area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33322 of the California Community Redevelopment Law, the Planning Commission of the City of Azusa has selected boundaries of the proposed Azusa.CBD Redevelopment Project from within the boundaries of the Redevelopment Survey Area and has formulated a Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of such proposed Redevelopment Project area; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires that the boundaries previously selected by the Planning Commission for the proposed Redevelopment Project be rescinded and cancelled -and that the Planning Commission select new boundaries -for such proposed Redevelopment Project.; , .NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby directs the Planning Commission to rescind and cancel its previous selection of the boundaries of the proposed Azusa CBD Redevelopment Project and to likewise. rescind and cancel its previous formulation of the Pre- liminary Plan for the redevelopment of such proposed Redevelopment Project area. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby directs the Planning Commission to select,new.boundaries for the proposed Azusa CBD Redevelopment Project from within the boundaries of the Redevelop- ment Survey Area, and to formulate a new Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of the newly selected Redevelopment Project area. Adopted and approved this 6th day of March 1978. Said land being situated at the northwest corner of Azusa Avenue and Gladstone Street and having a depth of 250' on Azusa Avenue and 363.80' on Gladstone Street.
