RESOLUTION -NO. 6722
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA STRONGLY URGING THAT GOVERNOR EDMUND
G. BROW11 INCLUDE THE SUM OF $25 MILLION FOR
FUNDING THE 1979-80 BUDGET FOR SB 174, THE
ROBERTI-Z'BERG OPEN -SPACE AND RECREATION
PROGRAM.
WHREAS, the Azusa community has greatly benefitted
from the SB 174 program, and
WHEREAS, the following projects have been accompli-
shed through this funding source;
1. Improvement of Slauson park including street
lighting, parking lot repair and irrigation
system.
2. Improvement of Northside park facilities includ-
ing picnic structures, stoves, play equipment
and general park facilities, and
WHEREAS, both of these projects have contributed
greatly to the beauty and functional use of the park system
in the City of Azusa.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Azusa strongly urges and recommends to Governor
Edmund G. Brown that the $25 million for this program be
included in the 1979-80 state of California budget for urban
open -space and recreation programs, which significantly
contribute to the quality of life to the citizens of Azusa.
Adopted and approved this 20th day of November, 1975.

regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of November, 1978,
by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Moses, Solem
