HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6720�J RESOLUTION NO. 6720 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS FOR PROJECT 584-1 AND WAIVE FORMAL BIDDING PROCEDURES, BASED UPON FINDING THAT IT IS IMPRACTICABLE, USELESS AND UNECONOMICAL AND PUBLIC WELFARE WOULD BE PROMOTED BY DISPENSING WITH SAME. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, as a result of formal bidding procedures only one (1) of four (4) bidders submitted a bid for all items as specified, and WHEREAS, this one (1) bid for all items greatly exceeded the engineer's estimate, and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Works that the City Council reject all bids, direct the City Clerk to return bidders' guarantees to all bidders and authorize him to purchase all materials involved in the project from convenient sources. IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Azusa approves above recommendation of the Director of Public Works, and authorizes him to purchase all materials involved in the project from convenient sources finding it impracticable, useless and uneconomical and public welfare would be promoted by dispensing with the same. Iayor I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of November, 1973, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Decker, Fry, Cuz, Moses, Solem NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None zCity Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 6719 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING.THE FUNDS OUT OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1.
