RESOLUTION NO. 6717
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,
INITIATING PROCEEDING FOR TIIE BOUNDARY REORCAN-
IZATION OF AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND
DUARTE IN ACCORDANCE WITII APPROVAL OF LOS ANGELES
COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FOPI1UV ION COMMISSION (LAFCO)
RESOLUTION NO. C-1978-49
10iEREAS, the Los Angeles County Local Agency Formation Commis-
sion has adopted Resolution No. C-1978-49 authorizing the City of. Azusa
to be the conducting authority for the boundary reorganization of that
certain area within the boundaries of the City of Azusa as indicated
in said LAFCO resolution and described in exhibit "A;
WHIEP.EAS, the City of Azusa commenced preliminary proceedings for
the municipal reorganization of its boundaries with respect to the
City of Duarte; and
1�q!EREAS, the area designated is known as Municipal Reorganization
Westerly Annexation No. 80 as modified and described as shown on said
LAFCO resolution: and
;JHEREAS, the reason for the proposed detachment is to align city
boundaries with existing physical improvements and developments and
ensure more e[ficient delivery of municipal services, particularly with
respect to police and fire protection; and
WHEREAS, the property owners of the areas indicated within the
attached description are hereby given the opportunity to protest against
said boundary reorganization to the City Clerk of the City of Azusa
prior to the scheduled hearing; . ' 11 .
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council, as the conducting authority,
hereby fixes the time, date and place for the public hearing
on the proposed detachment to be 7:30 p.m., Monday, December 4, 1978,
in the Azusa Council Chambers, 213 E. Foothill Blvd., Azusa, California.

Los Angeles, State of California. hereby attest to the above signature
and certify that resolution No. 6 717 was adopted by the City Council
of said City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
6th day of November, 1978, by the following vote:

DESCRIPTION OF REVISED BOUNDARIES
OF PROPOSED MUNICIPAL REORGANIZATION
"WESTERLY ANNEXATION NO. 80" TO
THE CITY OF AZUSA
(DETACHMENT FROM CITY OF DUARTE)
AS MODIFIED BY THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 1 of Tract No.
22671 as shown on map filed in Book 749, pages 89 to 92 inclusive
of Maps, in the office cif the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
said corner being a point in the boundary of the City of Azusa as
same existed on September 1, 1978; thence southeasterly along the
boundary of said tract and following the same in all its various
courses and curve to an angle point in said boundary of the City
of Azusa, said angle point being a point in that certain course
having a length of 70.00 feet in the northeasterly boundary of
Lot 15 of said tract, distant northwesterly along said certain
course 26.85 feet from the southeasterly terminus thereof; thence
northeasterly along said boundary of the City of Azusa and following
the same in all its various courses and curve to the point of
beginning.
