HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 67810 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6781 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA HONORING AND COMMENDING THE CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICA ON THEIR TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY. WHEREAS, the foundation of human society is based upon the moral and ethical fiber of its members, and WHEREAS, it has been said that everything great is not always good, but all good things are great, and WHEREAS, the City of Azusa has been blessed by the presence, since April 29, 1954, of a group of women who were, and have continued to be guided by the highest ideals of social and spiritual values, and WHEREAS, this group calling itself, the Catholic Daughters of America, Court 1677, Our Lady of Hope, originally numbering some thirty-five members, and now comprising a membership of.seventy-two „ transcends any sectarian limitation, unselfishly providing good works, guidance and.leadership to.all, as communicated by its theme, "Heart Speaks to,Heart"; and WHEREAS, Nationally, it is called to mind, that this outstanding organization celebrated its seventy-fifth anniversary, with a total membership of 185,000, after having begun with only sixty members; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa recognizing the inestimable worth of this group, unites in honoring and commending all who are or have been associated with the Catholic Daughters of America, Court 1677, Our Lady of Hope, and congratulates the organization and its members on this, the occasion of the celebration of its Twenty -Fifth Anniversary, and the outstanding service it has so openly given to the City of Azusa. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of April, 1979. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of April, 1979, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Moses, Solem NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None O City Clerk 0 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6780 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6683, RELATING TO THE TABLE OF ORGANIZATION AND COMPENSATION IN THE CITY CLERK'S AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENTS. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Exhibit A attached to Resolution No. 6683 is hereby amended by eliminating one (1) Secretary and adding one (1) Senior Secretary from the City Clerk's Department Table, and eliminating one (1) Senior Secretary and adding one (1) Secretary to the Public Works Department Table. SECTION 2. The amendments hereby made shall.be effective April 18, 1979. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 23rd day of April, 1979. City Clerk 0 0 RESOLUTION 140. 6779 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUB- LIC HEARING, AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATE, TIME AND PLACE THEREFOR, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION AND MAILING OF NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AZUSA CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT' PROJECT.AND THE SUBSEQUENT ENVIRONMENTAL IM- PACT REPORT FOR SAID FIRST AMENDMENT WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33458) authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed First Amendment to the Rede- velopment Plan for the Azusa Central Business District Rede- velopment Project, with the consent of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa and the City Council of the City of Azusa; and WHEREAS, the Guidelines for the Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, adopted by the California Resources Agency permit the public hearing on an environmental impact report to be held in conjunction with and as a part of normal planning activities; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa by resolution has consented to a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for said Project and has requested that the City Council consent to such joint public hearing and establish the date, time and place therefor. . NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa hereby consents to a joint public hearing on the proposed First Amend- ment to the Redevelopment Plan for the Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project and the Subsequent Environ- mental Impact Report on the Amendment to the Plan and hereby authorizes the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, in cooperation with the Executive Director of the Agency, to establish the date, the time, and the place for such joint public hearing. SECTION 2. The City Clerk of the City of Azusa shall, in cooperation with the Executive Director of the Redevelop- ment Agency of the City of Azusa, publish and mail a notice of public hearing on the proposed Amendment to the Redevel- opment Plan and the Subsequent Environmental Impact Report, in the manner, and with other documents as required and established by law. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of April 1979. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows; SECTION 1.
