A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA EXPRESSING ITS MOST PROFOUND REGRETS
AT THE DEATH OF MR. JOHN CONFORTI.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, Each of us shall one day end this mortal existence,
and
WHEREAS, As our faith, tells us to prepare for a better, ultimate
and eternal life after, albeit, a rude and unfulfilled
term on earth as individual ripples in what is a vast
and all-encompassing sea, and
WHEREAS, our companion, John Conforti, has preceded us into
what some consider to be the unknown, we remember him
for his many years of service on the Planning Commission,
his envolvement, his family and his dedicated devotion
to all the values he so painfully learned over his span
of years, and
WHEREAS, All that we have to do is look upon the many buildings
he built, listen to his many friends, and feel the
enormous loss felt by his family, to recognize that here
was a man, a man who drank deeply of the.heady wine of
life, who lived it fully and intensely, and who by all
of us will be sorely missed.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Azusa, unites in collectively expressing its sincere
regrets at the loss of this person who so unselfishly gave of his
time and substance for the well-being of the City and its residents,
and further wishes to extend to John's family deeply -felt solace
and sympathy, yet extending a hope for a better tomorrow for John
who has now entered into rest, a full and complete rest and realiza-
tion that this life is but a forerunner of everlasting happiness.
