A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA COMMENDING JOHN LUNA FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
WHEREAS, JOHN LUNA was employed by the City of Azusa on May Second,
Nineteen Hundred and Forty Nine, and since that time has
continually worked in the service of his fellow residents
as a city employee, and
WHEREAS, through the agency of fortunate happenstance, John, whose
name aptly translates as "The Lord is gracious," certainly
graced the city with his presence, for whom, surely, ring
true the words, "The crowning fortune of a man is to be
born to some pursuit which finds him employment and
happiness...," and
WHEREAS, the truth of these words was made manifest through his
permanently faithful observance of all aspects of his duties;
a fact that over the years provided invaluable service as a
model for all other employees of what constitutes ideal
dedication to duty;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa extends
to John its most sincere congratulations for ajob well done, and, furthermore, on
behalf of all the residents of the City, thanks him for all he has done for all,
and, finally, unites in wishing him a long and pleasant retirement filled with the
rewards that a well-earned rest can bring him.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19th day of November, 1979.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a, regular meeting thereof,
held on the 19th day of November, 1979, by the following vote of the Council:
