A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA REQUESTING THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
TOGETHER WITH THE CITY OF AZUSA TO EVALUATE
THE REALIGNMENT OF SAN GABRIEL CANYON ROAD
TO ALLEVIATE COUNTER FLOW TRAFFIC.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine,
and declare that San Gabriel Canyon Road is a State Highway and that the realignment of
San Gabriel Canyon Road is necessary to alleviate counter flow traffic at that location.
SECTION 2. That Public Hearings have been held regarding the
realignment and it has been determined that proposed changes conform with the General
Plan of the City of Azusa.
SECTION 3. That in order to proceed with said realignment, it is
necessary that the State of California in conjunction with the City of Azusa evaluate the
proposed realignment.
SECTION 4. The City Council therefore, by virtue of this resolution,
is requesting the State of California for their assistance in this proposed realignment of
San Gabriel Canyon Road.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and submit a certified copy to California Department of Transportation.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of September, 1979.
I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 4th of
September, 1979, by the following vote of the Council:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Moses, Solem
