HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 69530 0 RESOLUTION NO. 6953 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING FRANK R. HALSTEAD FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, The Good Book tells of a garden planted by God, Himself, as one of His first acts of creation, and WHEREAS, since that divine act, mankind has found aesthetic peace and profound repose in gardens, and WHEREAS, setting aside land for use as parks and gardens is an indisputable prime necessity in human settlements and communities, and WHEREAS, FRANK R. HALSTEAD, since his employment by the City on March 5, 1968, has provided residents with the physical beauty of many lovingly tended verdant oases of well orchestrated symphonies of riotous myriad colors in neatly arranged plots where mankind can find pleasureable surcease from the shrill cacophony of an urban environment, and WHEREAS, through his efforts, our lives have been enriched and magnified permitting us access to the knowledge that we are all part of a celestial whole; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa, recognizing the invaluable services provided to society in general, unites in profusely thanking FRANK HALSTEAD, for all he has::doneā€¢over the years to make this world a brighter, more pleasant place in which to live, and also wishes him as satisfying a retirement as his years of employment with the City of Azusa. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of December, 1980. MAYOR I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 1st day of December, 1980, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Decker, Fry, Cruz, Moses, Solem NOES: COUNCILMEN: None AHSENT: COUNCILMEN: None CITY CLERK
