• RESOLUTION NO. 6941 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AND SPECIFYING.THE FUNDS OUT OF WHICH THE SAME ARE TO BE PAID. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Exhibit A attached to Resolution No. 6918 is hereby amended by eliminating one (1) Senior Secretary position and adding one (1) Secretary position in the Personnel Department's Table. SECTION 2. Exhibit A attached to Resolution No. 6918 is hereby amended by eliminating one (1) Senior Secretary position and adding one (1) Secretary position in the Planning Department's Table. SECTION 3. FRANCES OF ROME CHURCH, GUADALUPE SOCIETY FOR ITS SPONSORSHIP OF THE 16TH OF SEPTEMBER FIESTA AND THE SELECTION OF A QUEEN. WHEREAS, over the years, this public spirited group of residents has kept alive, here in the City of Azusa, the traditional observance of the "Cry of Independence" and the ensuing Fiesta celebrating The Mexican Declaration of Independence, and WHEREAS, that cry has been echoed and re-echoed by other patriots in other nascent nations throughout mankind's history; all living in Freedom feel that special pride that comes from knowing that more people are joining the ranks of that vast, but eternally vigilant army of the liberated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa, collectively, feels great pride in the knowledge that the GUADALUPE SOCIETY has labored well and long to keep that tradition functioning within our City and extends its most sincere commendation to the Society, as a whole, and to each hard working member in particular, for a continuing job well done. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. A Joint Powers Agreement, dated as of November 1, 1980, creating a separate public entity to be known as the "Southern California Public Power Authority" pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 5, Division 7, Title 1, of the Government Code of the State of California, as amended, has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Azusa, and said City Council hereby finds and determines that the terms and conditions of said Agreement be, and the same hereby are, approved. SECTION 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk of this City of Azusa are hereby authorized to execute and deliver said Agreement for, and on behalf of, the City of Azusa, provided that prior to such execution and delivery there shall be inserted at the head of said Agreement the name, and in Section 19 thereof the name and notice address of those of the following cities, public corporations and public districts whose governing boards shall have approved, prior to October 1, 1980, execution and delivery by such city, public corporation or public district of said Agreement: City of Anaheim, City of Azusa, City of Banning, City of Burbank, City of Colton, City of Glendale, City of Los Angeles, City of Pasadena, City of Riverside and Imperial Irrigation District. SECTION 3.
