The matter of Termite Controll was dis- cussed and no action taken. A communication from S. V. Cortelyou relative to traffic signals at the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Foot- hill Boulevard, was read and ordered placed on file. A communication from John W. Gray, Jr., requesting the City to open the alley north of his property situated at 525 Crescent Drive, was offered. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that same be re- ferred to the Board of Public Works, t with power to act. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: .Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. The matter of amending the Zoning Ordinance restricting the building of more than two houses on a lot on property located north of Foothill Boulevard, was discussed. Moved and carried that this matter be referred to the Planning Commission to make a request in writing, stating just what they have in mind. Mayor Morden appointed Mrs. Dorothy Chester and Mrs. Mattie Owens to serve as members of the Library Board until June 30, 1932. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded ' by Councilman McIntire that the Council approve the action of the Mayor. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Mrs. Brubaker requested that Paramount Avenue be posted at the intersection of Paramount and Azusa Avenues. Moved by Councilman Arnold,,seoonded by Councilman Carr that this matter be re- ferred to the Board of Public Works, with power to act. Roll call: Minutes approved. Meier, Grease Jobe - Pettyjohn (Richfield), Hardware - Morgan Hardware, Lumber - Williams Lumber Yard, Restaurant - Bungalow Cafe, Tires - C. H. Howard. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Cheater, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Mr. Clifford Fielder presented a written application for a license of ' $12.00 annually to cover his bakery business. No action taken. The matter of collection of Delinquent Tax on Unsecured Personal Property was discussed. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Councilman Chester that this matter be referred to the Police Commission to work out with the Chief of Police. Moved by Councilman Arnold that an Ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISH- ING A PLAN FOR REDEMPTION OF REAL PRO- PERTY SOLD TO THE CITY OF AZUSA FOR DEL- INQUENT TAR AND/OR ASSESSMENT,'IN CON- FORMITY WITH THE PLAN UNDER STATE LAW FOR REDEMPTION OF REAL PROPERTY SOLD FOR DELINQUENT COUNTY OR STATE TAR AND/OR ASSESSMENT. be placed upon its second reading. Counoilman Arnold offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CAL- IFORNIA, TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1000.00) FROM THE ' WATER RESERVE FUND TO THE WATER FUND. Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by Councilman ,MoIntire that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Reso- lution No. 1496. City Attorney Miller reported, on persons using profane language to arresting officers, stating that it was difficult to cover same with an Ordinance, but that when such a thing happens, the arresting officer may call the City Attorney and he will immediately take steps to discourage such a practice. City Attorney Miller reported that the matter of supplying water to residents ' in Tract 8507 was not pressing, but that some day it would prove to be a nice little problem. Mrs. Pursinger appeared before the Council requesting that her neighbors be forced to keep their chickens penned up. Moved and carried that this matter be referred to the Chief of Police. T. L. Munson addressed the Council re- lative to the office of Tax Collector. No action taken. ORDINANCE NO. 324 ADOPTED. RESOLUTION NO. 1496 ADOPTED. City Attorney reported on the use of profane language.
