MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. JULY 20, 1936. 7:30 P. M.
Owens-Vosburg Insurance Agency and J. C. Bids for Fleet

Insurance Agency be instructed to renew
the Insurance Policy on the Fleet and
the privately owned cars.

Clerk of Pomona, requesting permission City of Pomona grant -

Communications from C. H. Burnett, Pacific
Rock & Gravel Company and J. L. Pomeroy, MD,
were read and ordered placed on file.
A communication from Cornelius Smith, Sec-
retary of the Azusa City Planning Commiss-
ion, relative to two houses located on
one lot, was read.
After some discusssion, it was moved by
Councilman Chester., seconded by Councilman
Arnold that a set back line from the front
boundary line and a set in line from the
rear boundary line of property located in
Azusa, be referred to the Azusa City Plan-
ning Commission to report back at the
next regular meeting of the Council.
Carried by the following vote of the
Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr,
Arnold, Chester, Morden.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that the City Council
adopt the Budget as set forth in report
made by Mr. Robinson representing the firm
of Crenshaw, Diehl & Wright.

Councilman Arnold offered a Resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA TERMINATING AS OF JULY 31,
19369 THE EMPLOYMENT OF WILLIAM J. HOLDEN
AS TAX COLLECTOR.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that this Resolution be
adopted as read and numbered Resolution No.
1499.

Councilman Chester offered a Resolution
entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

TAX COLLECTOR OF SAID CITY, FIXING THE
AMOUNT OF HIS BOND AS SAID TAX COLLECTOR,
AND DEFINING HIS DUTIES.

sign for Paramount Avenue would soon be
erected; that the exits in the Auditorium
would be properly guarded and that he
had made a request for an appropriation
of $15,000. from the Los Angeles County
Gas Tax Fund.
