Bids for Fleet Muehe presented bids for the renewal of Insurance. Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance on the Fleet, also Public Lia- bility and Property Damage Insurance on cars owned by City employees who may use them for City business. H. V. Moved by Councilman Carr, seconded by Councilman Arnold that Owens-Vosburg Insurance Agency be instructed to renew the Insurance Policy on the Fleet and the privately owned cars. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester. Noes: Councilman Morden. Absent: None. Executive session. Meeting resumed. Owens-Vosburg author- ized to write policies record of all policies held by the City of Azusa. It was agreed that he should ' prepare such a system for the City, at the same time to prepare and supply an ana sis of the Cities Insurance, all xut wit .cost. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by Line card record Councilman Carr that authority be given authorized. A communication from Mr. Leigh, City Clerk of Pomona, requesting permission City of Pomona grant - to hang a banner across the City Streets ed permission to hang advertising the Los Angeles County Fair, banner. was read. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that same be granted. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Communications from C. H. Burnett, Pacific Rock & Gravel Company and J. L. Pomeroy, MD, were read and ordered placed on file. A communication from Cornelius Smith, Sec- retary of the Azusa City Planning Commiss- ion, relative to two houses located on one lot, was read. After some discusssion, it was moved by Councilman Chester., seconded by Councilman Arnold that a set back line from the front boundary line and a set in line from the rear boundary line of property located in Azusa, be referred to the Azusa City Plan- ning Commission to report back at the next regular meeting of the Council. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that the City Council adopt the Budget as set forth in report made by Mr. Robinson representing the firm of Crenshaw, Diehl & Wright. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Arnold offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA TERMINATING AS OF JULY 31, 19369 THE EMPLOYMENT OF WILLIAM J. HOLDEN AS TAX COLLECTOR. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Arnold that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1499. Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Councilman Chester offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPOINTING THOMAS L. MUNSON, TAX COLLECTOR OF SAID CITY, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF HIS BOND AS SAID TAX COLLECTOR, AND DEFINING HIS DUTIES. Communications order- ed placed on file. Set back line to be referred to the Azusa City Planning Comm- ission to report back. Budget approved and adopted. RESOLUTION NO. 1499 ADOPTED. Councilman Chester offered a Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE ' CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIF- ORNIA, TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF Two THOU- SAND ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR DOLLARS (2154) FROM THE 1915 DEFICIENCY FUND TO THE SERIES ACCOUNT. Moved by Councilman McIntire, seconded by Councilman Carr that this Resolution be adopted as read and numbered Resolution No. 1501 Carried by the following vote of the Council: Ayes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr, Arnold, Chester, Morden. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by Councilman Carr that the matter of Termite Control be referred to Jack Pierce, with power to act. ' Councilman Chester reported that the sign for Paramount Avenue would soon be erected; that the exits in the Auditorium would be properly guarded and that he had made a request for an appropriation of $15,000. from the Los Angeles County Gas Tax Fund.
