HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7052RESOLUTION N0. 7052 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING REPORT OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE COST OF REMOVAL OF WEEDS, RUBBISH, REFUSE AND DIRT FROM PARKWAYS, SIDEWALKS, AND PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THE ASSESSMENT THEREOF UPON CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE CITY OF AZUSA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa in Azusa Municipal Code Sections 8.50 et seq., has declared that all weeds growing upon the streets, sidewalks, or private property in the City of Azusa and all rubbish, refuse and dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or private property in the City of Azusa constitutes a public nuisance and that the City of Azusa will abate same, and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of November, 1981, notice was posted as required.by Ordinance Code Section 8.50.150 stating the date the schedule showing the cost'of abatement will be submitted to the City Council, and WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1981, the Director of Public Works of the City of Azusa filed his report in writing according to the law showing the work done and the cost of the removal of weeds, rubbish, refuse and/or dirt from each separate lot or parcel of land,a copy of which report is attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa that the report of the Director of Public Works, attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference; be -confirmed and that the amount of cost for the removal of said weeds, rubbish, and dirt upon and in front of the various parcels of land mentioned in said report shall constitute a special assessment against respective parcels of land therein described. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and thereupon the same shall take effect and be in force and the City Clerk shall thereafter file a certified copy of same with the County Auditor of the County of Los Angeles who shall enter each assessment on the County tax roll opposite the parcel of land to which the same relates and same shall be collected at the time and in the manner of ordinary municipal taxes.
