HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7022RESOLUTION NO. 7022 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET. WHEREAS, Section 8334 of the Streets and Highways Code provides that the legislative body of a City may summarily vacate a portion of a street or high- way that lies within property under one ownership and that does not continue through such ownership or end touching property of another, and WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has advised that the portion of Lemon Avenue, more particularly described below, is no longer needed as a public right-of- way; and WHEREAS, the Azusa Planning Commission has recommended approval of the vacation of the portion of Lemon Avenue described below. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That portion of Lemon Avenue bounded on the north by the southerly right-of-way line of Foothill Boulevard and bounded on the south by the northerly right-of-way of Lime Street is hereby summarily vacated subject to the reservation set forth below. SECTION 2. Specifically reserved from this vacation are all existing overhead and underground utility easements. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify a copy of this Resolution and transmit the same to the County Recorder for recording. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
