be instructed to w rite the Club ex-
plaining to them that First Street east
to Azusa Avenue is temporarily closed
and a sign will not be needed until
such time as the road is again opened
to the public.

Street Superintendent Wolfe reported that
it would take 223 trees, planted 35 feet
apart, at a cost of $2.00 per tree for
excavation, to meet the County planting
project at the west City limits.
Moved by Councilman Chester, seconded by
Councilman Arnold that the Street Super-
intendent be authorized and instructed
to proceed with the work of planting the
trees at the convenience of the depart-
ment.

The matter of supplying additional help
for Mr. Munson in making out the tax
bills was discussed and laid over until
the adjourned meeting.

ing of pamphlets advertising Azusa, was
discussed and laid over until the ad-
journed meeting.
A request made by the Alpha Beta Food
Market to cut the curb on Azusa Avenue
was laid over until the adjourned
meeting.
It was agreed that Councilman Chester
should check the conditions governing
the placing of a curb in front of Lot
8, Block D. Azusa Heights Tract and re-
port back.
