HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7127A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA,` AUTHORIZING THE LOS ANGELES, COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION TO -SOLICIT PROPOSALS FOR AFFORDABLE' HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ON COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL PROPERTY IN AZUSA.''' WHEREAS, the City of Azusaand the Community Development Commission'of the County of Lbs'Angeles recognizes the dire need for affordable housing for families. -:,of average income; and WHEREAS, the City of Azusa and the Community Development Commission of the County of.Los Angeles desire to cooperate in the development of affordable housing for families with incomes under 120% of the County.median income; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission'of the County of Los Angeles wishes.to utilize excess County Flood Control -owned property within the City of Azusa,'described as Parcels 2x, 3x, and 19x, Little Dalton Wash, for this activity; and J WHEREAS, the City of Azusa has zoned this property and desires that the City R-3tb.zone and condominium development standard's be used for the housing development. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The City of Azusa agrees to allow the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles.to develop ' affordable housing for families wth'incomes'under 120'/ of the County .. income on the County. Flood Control -owned property located within the City of Azusa and known as Little Dalton Wash, Parcels 2x, 3x,, and 19x. 2. The City of Azusa hereby authorizes.the Community Development:Commission of the County of Los Angeles to perform, or cause to be performed those acts necessary to implement the development of housing units of said property as specified in the County's Request for Proposals, authorized May ll,'1982, by the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day -of May, 1982.
