HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7121RESOLUTION NO. 7121 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING JUNE W. HART FOR HER SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, it has become widely known and accepted that the role of women in our society is changing, and WHEREAS,. all about us we now see women competently assuming new positions hitherto considered to be exclusively for men, and WHEREAS, on June 23, 1977, JUNE HART accepted appointment to the Planning Commission, whereupon she became the first woman to attain membership, and WHEREAS, since that time to April 13, 1982, when she resigned from the Planning Commission, her actions brought praise to that body, and creditability attended its every action, regardless of controversy, and WHEREAS, the City and its residents have greatly benefitted from association with this exemplary person; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Azusa recognizing the many contributions provided by JUNE W. HART, while a member of the Planning Commission, extends its sincere thanks for her assistance to the City and to its residents. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of May, 1982.
