A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA POSTHUMOUSLY COMMENDING
GERALD H. MURRAY FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE
CITY OF AZUSA
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, since March 6, 1967, when GERALD MURRAY was
appointed to the Planning Commission, until
his death on March 12, 1982, he provided
that body with all the benefits of well
grounded legal knowledge and logic, and
WHEREAS, we all now mourn his death for one or more
reasons; as an attorney, he stood:%ready to
help all in need of his services; this loss
we mourn. As a member of the community, he
eagerly sought involvement in finding solu-
tions to its problems; this loss we'also
mourn. As a friend, he gave unselfishly of
his understanding and love; there is
abundant reason here to mourn this loss.
Finally, as a fellow human being who has
passed on, leaving behind, forever, this
world and all who inhabit it; this loss we
mourn most of all, because his death
diminishes us who share this gift of life
as an evanescent fund that is eventually
depleted completely for each and every one
of us.

of the City of Azusa extends its sympathy to., and
shares the grief of Gerry's family, and joins in the
widespread mourning at.the untimely death of one who
will always occupy a singular place in the memory of
all who function in the operations of our community;
further albeit belatedly, it sincerely commends
GERALD H. MURRAY for his untiringly unselfish efforts
to make the City of Azusa a better place in which to
live.
