A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING JANET JO MC DONALD,
14EIGKBORROOD WATCH PROGRAM: MEMBER, FOR HER
SERVICES TO THE CITY.
WHEREAS, on December 27, 1982, JANET JO MC DONALD, was.
instrumental in the arrest of an assault suspect, and
WHEREAS, these urisettled times require of us direct and
alert involvement in the maintenance of'a secure environment.
When we all rise to act as did MS. MC DONALD, full notice will
be served that decent law-abiding citizens are not going to stand
for the illegal activities that threaten our society, and
WHEREAS, to that end, the Neighborhood :watch Program,
in which MS. MC DONALD _is a Block Captain, is the means through
which we can all act to quell, if not remove these threats, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be a simple thing to report
suspicious or overtly illegal activities to the police; however,
there appears to be growing instances of people turning their backs
on critical situations. Programs such as Neighborhood Watch,
signal a welcome departure from this depressing phenomenon of
estrangement and alienation.
