HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 73420 RESOLUTION NO. 7 3 4 2 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA FINDING AND DECLARING THAT THE PROVISION OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME HOUSING OUTSIDE THE PROJECT AREA IS OF BENEFIT TO THE PROJECT AREA (AMENDMENT NO.III TO THE AZUSA CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa pursuant to Section 33334.2(g) of the California Health and Safety Code, must include property within the Project Area which is suitable for low and moderate income housing or find that the provision of low and moderate income outside the Project Area would be of benefit to the Project Area; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Redevelopment Plan for Amendment No.IH to the Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project is to eliminate blight and promote redevelopment activities for the establishment of new residential uses; and WHEREAS, the provision of low and moderate income housing outside the Amended Central Business District Project Area will be of benefit to low or moderate income persons or families residing in the City; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa finds and declares that the provision of low and moderate income housing outside the amended Azusa Central Business District Redevelopment Project is of benefit to the Project Area. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall thereupon be in full force and effect. APPROVED AND PASSED this 3rd day of October 1983. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 3rd day of October, 1983, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS CRUZ, LATTA, MOSES NONE NONE
