RESOLUTION NO. 7333
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY,
DECEMBER 20, 1983, FOR THE ELECTION OF TWO
MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY AS
REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES.
WHEREAS, vacancies in the office of the City Council
were created by the recall of Councilman Willard R. Decker and
Councilwoman June Hart, on September 13, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the term of office in which the vacancy was
created by said recall election of Willard R. Decker ends April
10, 1984 and the term of office in which the vacancy was created
by said recall election of June Hart ends April 8, 1986;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws
of the State of California relating to General Law cities within
said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered
held in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
on Tuesday, December 20, 1983, a special municipal election of the
qualified electors of said City for the purpose of the election of
two Members of the City Council of said City for the term of office
in which the vacancy was created by the recall election of Willard
R. Decker, which ends April 10,.1984, and the vacancy created by
the recall election of June Hart, which ends April 8, 1986.
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said election
shall be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as may
be required by law to be used thereat.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby
authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and
all official ballots; notices, printed matter and all supplies and
equipment that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully
conduct said election.
SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall be
open at seven o'clock a.m. of the day of said election and shall
remain open continuously from said time until seven o'clock p.m. of
the same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided
in Section 14301 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5. That in all particulars not recited in this
resolution, said election shall beheld and conducted as provided
by law for holding municipal elections in said City.
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of holding
said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized,
instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of
said election in time•, form and manner as required by law.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of
original resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of the
passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings
of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at
which the same is passed and adopted.

SECTION 8. That this resolution shall take effect
PASSED, APROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of September,

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at and
adjourned regular meeting thereof, held on the 20th day of
September, 1983, by the following vote of the Council:
