HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7247RESOLUTION NO. 7247 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING JOHN LITTLEFIELD FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, when JOHN LITTLEFIELD first entered into City employment on May 25, 1951, little was it imagined that almost thirty- two years later we would look back at more than a score of years spent with the City of Azusa, and WHEREAS, determining what terms and words would express appropriate gratitude, they all tend to either develop as mere pusillanimous sesqiupedalia verba insipidly praising prosaic service, or as paltry platitudes lamely lauding an ethereal person, and WHEREAS, as the Bard said: "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances..." We all pursue not one straight course, in life's road, but several divergent paths that, when viewed ubiquitously, are seen as one grand, but vari-textured design; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA unites in commending JOHN LITTLEFIELD for all the years of dedicated service he provided the City of Azusa, and further wishes him the best of good fortune in his new employment with the County of Los Angeles. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of April, 1983.
