HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 75190 0 RESOLUTION NO. 7519 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING PETER SAVAGE, SR. FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, one test of commitment is willingness to invest time and substance in something, and WHEREAS, to do so, is commendable indeed; To persevere for ten years, particularly in this world of rapidly changing requirements and values, is highly laudable. In a business person it needs acumen and a continuing ability to supply a consumer demand. This, PETER SAVAGE, SR. has done, and flourished, and WHEREAS, verily, the full sense of the poet's words ring solidly for PETER SAVAGE, SR., when we read: "Not in the clamor of the crowded street, Not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, But in ourselves, are triumph and defeat" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa, recognizing that the greatness of the United States is based upon a free and untrammeled system of enterprise, extends its collective praises to Mr. PETER SAVAGE, SR., for not only serving as an ideal example of the American Businessman, but for the continuing benefits his business; SAVAGE BMW is raining lavishly on the City of Azusa; it is people like Mr. Savage who., in a large measure, will bring to successful fruition the growth and development of our local commercial community. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of July, 1984.
