HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 74620 0 RESOLUTION NO. 7462 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING GLENN BASHORE FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, the tintinabulation of both juveniles and adults availing themselves of the several recreational oases located within our City, bears auditory witness to the contemporary need for these refugees from the gowing menace of a stridently harsh, increasing pervasive urban environment, and WHEREAS, one of the key persons overseeing the operation and accessibility of the Municipal Parks and Recreation Program was GLENN BASHORE who served as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner from September 7th, 1967 to January 19th, 1984; to determine that Glenn's efforts were successful, one need only to see the riant throngs daily frequenting the City's Parks, notwithstanding climatic vicissitudes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Azusa recognizing the important character of service provided by the Parks and Recreation Commission, and that it could not perform on the quintessential level that it does without such outstanding members as GLENN BASHORE unites in commending him for the excellence of his service to the City.
