HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7461• RESOLUTION NO. 7461 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING TOM OKI FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, service is provided in fulfillment of many motives; however, that service freely given for unselfish motives, out of concern for, and love of fellow man is the paramount gem in humanity's Deific crown, and WHEREAS, from April 3rd, 1963, to January 19th, 1984, THOMAS OKI, through his tenure in the Parks and Recreation Commission, brought, consistently, to the fore the glowing truth of that observation, and WHEREAS, without recourse to prolixity or euphemistic prose, suffice it to direct attention to the well administered and maintained Parks and Recreation Program of which TOM was instrumental in developing and directing policy of operation of this extremely important City function; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that tht City Council of the City of Azusa unites to thank THOMAS OKI for his efforts in the service of the City, and further commends him for the excellence of that service. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of April, 1984.
