ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT
An Initial Study was conducted by the City of Azusa
Planning Department to evaluate the potential effect of this
project upon the environment. The Initial Study concludes
that the project will not have a significant effect on the
environment. The purpose of this general plan amendment is
to accompany zone change case Z-228 in order to have conformity
between the general plan and current zoning. The general plan
and zone amendments will reflect the current land uses and
land use intensity of the area and will make no changes therein.
Based upon the findings contained in the initial
Study, it is determined that the project will not have a
significant effect upon the environment. The Initial Study of
Environmental Impact is attached hereto for reference. No
mitigating measures are proposed nor required in light of the
findings other than the fact that with approval of the zone
change amendment the restrictions of the zone will be applicable
to the subject properties and any development of those properties
must be consistent with the zone requirements and would require
additional environmental review. The Initial Study is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference as though set forth
in full.
