RESOLUTION NO. 7418
JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING AND ACCEPTING
NEOOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES
RESULTING FFOA ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY 10 THE
CITY OF AZUSA --"SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT 86"
NHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 of the Revenue and
Taxation Code, prior to the effective date of any jurisdictional
change the governing bodies of all agencies whose service areas
or service responsibilities would be altered by such change must
determine the amount of property tax revenues to be exchanged
between the affected agencies and approve and accept the nego-
tiated exchange of property tax revenues by resolution; but if
the affected agency is a special district, the Board of
Supervisors must negotiate on behalf of the district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles and the City Council of the City of Azusa have
determined that the amount of property tax revenue to be
exchanged between their respective agencies as a result of the
annexation of unincorporated territory to the City of Azusa
identified as "Southerly Annexation District 86" is as set forth
below.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The negotiated exchange of property tax revenues
between the County of Los Angeles and the City of Azusa
resulting from the annexation of unincorporated territory to the
City of Azusa in the annexation entitled "Southerly Annexation
District 86" is approved and accepted.

2. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1, 1985,
or after the effective date of this jurisdictional change,
whichever is later, property tax revenue in the amount Twelve
Thousand Seven Hundred Nineteen Dollars ($12,719) is ordered
transferred from the County of Los Angeles to the City of Azusa.
In addition, for each fiscal year commencing on and after July 1,
1985, or after the effective date of this jurisdictional change,
whichever is later, a portion of the incremental tax growth
attributable to Tax Rate Areas within the "Southerly Annexation
District 86" area, as identified below, shall be transferred to
the City of Azusa, and the County of Los Angeles' share of incre-
mental tax growth shall be reduced accordingly.

3. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1, 1985,
or after the effective date of this jurisdictional change,
whichever is later, all property tax revenue received by Road
District No. 1 attributable to the Azusa "Southerly Annexation
District 86" area shall be transferred to the County of Los Angeles.
4. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1, 1985,
or after the effective date of this jurisdictional change, which-
ever is later, all property tax revenue received by the County
Library District attributable to the Azusa "Southerly Annexation
District 86" area shall be transferred to the County of Los Angeles.

5. No other transfers of property tax revenues shall be
made to the City of Azusa as a result of "Southerly Annexation
District 86."
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles and by the City Council
of the City of Azusa.
