HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7560J RESOLUTION NO. 7560 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING THAIS AGUIRRE FOR HER SERVICES TO THE CITY. WHEREAS, the historically famous THAIS, the Messinan paramour of Alexander the Great, is not about whom is herein written; rather THAIS beloved wife, mother and carmuhitp leader .living"here and now instead of the Fourth Century, B.C., and WHEREAS, this latter day THAIS, who, among other varied interests in an active life, served on the City's Park and Recreation Commission from July Sixth, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-six to August First, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-four, and while a member of that body, served the City well and faithfully, evidenced by a dedication and concern rarely found in people involved in community affairs, and WHEREAS, because of the outstanding nature of her zeal, all the activities in which she was instrumental bore the fruits of success. Now that she is leaving the City to pursue another life elesewhere, she will be sorely missed; the last page of a chapter in the history of this community has been written; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA unites in commending and thanking THAIS AGUIRRE for all she has done for this city and, further, wishes her all the best of good fortune in the future.
