RESOLUTION NO. 7558 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA A14ENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF AZUSA BY AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT (GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 84-5) ON THE NORTH SIDE OF FOOTHILL BOULE- VARD BETWEEN CITRUS AND FIFTH STREET WHEREAS, there is in effect a duly adopted general plan for the City of Azusa; WHEREAS, the general plan amendment amending the land use element on the north side of Foothill Boulevard be- tween Citrus and Fifth Street, which is the subject of this resolution, was the subject of a duly noticed public hearing by the Planning Commission of the City of Azusa on July 18, 1984, at which time the Planning Commission heard and con- sidered evidence on the amendment and by its Resolution No. 2037, adopted by a vote of six (6) aye, with one absent and none voting no, said vote being not less than a majority of the total members, recommended that the Council approve this amendment; WHEREAS, the amendment which is the subject of this resolution was also the subject of a duly noticed public hearing before the City Council on August 20, 1984, at which time the Council heard and considered evidence on the amend- ment; WHEREAS, the general plan amendment adopted by this resolution is the same amendment as considered by the Planning Commission; WHEREAS, the adoption of this amendment to the general plan is in the interest of the public health, safety and general welfare of the City of Azusa and is consistent with good zoning and planning practices; NOW, THEREFORE, be it re.solved by the City Council of the City of Azusa as follows: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby amend the General Plan of the City of Azusa, a true copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, so as to change the general land designation of General Commercial to High-density Residential, for the following described property, to wit: Alosta Avenue between Citrus and Fifth Street. Terminus and legally described as Parcels 1, 2 and 4 in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as shown on Parcel Map No. 13425, filed in Book 145, Pages 50 and 51 of Parcel Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County. Section 2. The General Plan of the City of Azusa shall be endorsed by the Director of Planning and Community Development to show the amendment by this resolution. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of September 1984.
