RESOLUTION NO. 7693
JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
LOS ANGELES COUNTY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING AND ACCEPTING
NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES
RESULTING FROM THE WITHDRAWAL OF THE AZUSA "SOUTHERLY
ANNEXATION DISTRICT" AREA FROM
BALDWIN PARK LIGHTING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 of the Revenue and
Taxation Code, prior to the effective date of any jurisdic-
tional change the governing bodies of all agencies whose
service areas or service responsibilities would be altered
by such change must determine the amount of property tax
revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies and
approve and accept the negotiated exchange of property tax
revenues by resolution; but if the affected agency is a spe-
cial district, the Board of Supervisors must negotiate on
behalf of the district; and
WHEREAS, on March 27, 1985, the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Los Angeles County approved "Southerly Annexation
District 88" to the City of Azusa, subject to the condition
that the subject territory be withdrawn from Baldwin Park
Lighting District; and
WHEREAS, the property tax transfer resolution (Azusa
Resolution No. 7618) for "Southerly Annexation District 88,"
approved by the City of Azusa on December 17, 1984 and by the

Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles on January 8,
1985, did not address withdrawal of the subject territory from
Baldwin Park Lighting District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The negotiated exchange of property tax revenues
between the County of Los Angeles and the City of Azusa
resulting from the withdrawal of the Azusa "Southerly
Annexation District 88" area from Baldwin Park Lighting
District is approved and accepted.
2. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1,
1986, or after the effective date of this jurisdictional
change, whichever is later, all property tax revenue received
by Baldwin Park Lighting District attributable to the Azusa
"Southerly Annexation District 88" area shall be transferred to
the County of Los Angeles.
3. No other transfers of property tax revenues shall be
made to or from any other agency as a result of this jurisdic-
tional change.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles and by the City
Council of the City of Azusa.
