HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 7685E RESOLUTION NO. 7685 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CERTIFYING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION RELATING TO THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF AZUSA, MONROVIA NURSERY AND MANRESA RETREAT RELATED TO EASTERLY ANNEXATION NO. 87 AND ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. Z-230. WHEREAS, an Initial Study of Environmental Impact and a Negative Declaration have been prepared for Development Agreement between City of Azusa, Monrovia Nursery and Mauresa Retreat related to Easterly Annexation No. 87 and Zone Change Case No. 2-230 (hereinafter "Project") in accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act and the State CEQA Guidelines; WHEREAS, a duly -noticed public hearing was held by the Planning Commission for the City of Azusa on the 20th day of March, 1985, and the City Council of the City of Azusa on the lst day of April, 1985, at which times evidence was heard on the proposed Project and the Negative Declaration; WHEREAS, prior to approving the Project the City Council of the City of Azusa considered the Initial Study of Environmental Impact and the Negative Declaration together with any comments received during the public review process; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa hereby finds and determines that on the basis of the Initial Study and any comments received in the public review process, there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant adverse effect upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA that the Negative Declaration for the Project, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and by this refer- ence incorporated herein, is hereby certified and approved and determined that this Negative Declaration shall be filed with the County Clerk of the County of Los Angeles. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS lst day of April , 1985. ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL I14PACT REPORT INITIAL STUDY A copy of the Initial Study for Public Works projects will be available to the public in the Azusa Public Works Department. A copy of the initial study for the Planning Department projects will be in the Planning Department and the Public Library. Comments from the public on the projects may be made, in writing, to the respective department directors or at the public hearings for the projects.
