RESOLUTION NO. 8048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ENDORSING THE CRIME STOPPERS PROGRAM
IN THE CITY OF AZUSA.
WHEREAS, the California Department of Justice statistics
reveal that more than one million serious crimes a year occur in
California; and
WHEREAS, the Azusa Crime Stoppers Program encourages the
increased involvement of the citizens of Azusa on a volunteer
basis in support of law enforcement activity and the apprehension
of serious criminal offenders; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Azusa, in broad and united support,
with the aid of the Crime Stoppers Program, can create an
environment which is unattractive, hostile, and potentially
dangerous for the criminal element;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Azusa City Council that the
members endorse and support the Crime Stoppers Program in its
efforts to aid the citizens of Azusa and the Azusa Police Depart-
ment in removing the dangerous criminal element from the
community, thereby enhancing the safety of the citizens of Azusa.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 16th day of JUNE, 1986.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular
meeting thereof, held on the 16th day of June, 1986, by the
following vote of the Council:
