RESOLUTION NO. 7887
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA VACATING 60 FEET OF THE
STREET KNOWN AS SANTA FE AVENUE AND 60
FEET OF THE STREET KNOWN AS EIGHTH STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa
hereby finds and declares as follows:
A. This vacation proceeding is being conducted
pursuant to Sections 8320 through 8325 of the
Streets and Highways Code.
B. The City Clerk published Resolution No. 7817
in the manner required by Sections 8320 and
8322 of the Streets and Highways Code and
posted notices of vacation in the manner
required by Section 8323 of the Streets and
Highways Code.
C. On October9, 1985 the Planning
Commission considered the street vacations
described in this Resolution and determined
that said vacations are consistent with and in
conformance the Azusa General Plan and its
elements.
D. A hearing was conducted by the City Council on
the vacations described in this Resolution on
December 16, 1985, at which time all evidence
relating to the proposed vacations was heard
and considered by the City Council.
E. The City Council finds, from all the evidence
submitted at the hearing, that the portions of
the streets described in this Resolution are
unnecessary for present or prospective public
street uses.
F. The City Council also finds that the portions
of the streets described in this Resolution
are not useful as non -motorized transportation
facilities.
G. The street vacations described in this
Resolution are consistent with and in
conformance with the Azusa General Plan and
its elements.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Azusa
hereby vacates 60 feet of the City street known as
Santa Fe Avenue more particularly described on Exhibit A,
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference. A map showing the location of the proposed
vacation is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Specifically
reserved from this vacation are all existing overhead and
underground utility easements.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Azusa
hereby vacates 60 feet of the City street known as
Eighth Street more particularly described on Exhibit B,
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference. A map showing the location of the proposed
vacation is attached hereto as Exhibit "B". Specifically
reserved from this vacation are all existing overhead and
underground utility easements.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify a copy of
this Resolution and transmit the same to the County Recorder
for recording. Upon recordation of this Resolution, the
above-described area shall no longer constitute a public
street.
Section S. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.

I hereby certify that.the foregoing Resolution was
duly adopted by the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 18th day of February 1986, by the
following vote of the Council:

SANTA FE AVENUE VACATION

Beginning at the northeast corner of lot 22 of Block 18, Map of Azusa as
recorded in M.R. 43, Page 94, thence north 61.40 feet to the beginning of
a curve concave southeast having a radius of 5659.65, then south westerly
an arc distance of 154.59 and delta of 1° 33' 54" to the easterly line of
Dalton Avenue, 80 feet wide thence south to the northwest corner of said
lot 22 thence northeasterly along the north line of said lot 22 to the
point of beginning.
EIGHTH STREET
Beginning at the southeast corner of lot 24 of Block 18, Map of Azusa as recorded
in M.R. 43, Page 94, thence west 150.00 feet thence south 60.00 feet, thence east
150.00 feet, thence north 60.00 feet to the point of beginning
