RESOLUTION NO. 7845
A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION
BY THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY DISTRICT
REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO
TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
NORTHERY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 89
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Azusa,
that
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa City Council desires to
initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese -Knox Local
Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing
with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the
annexation of the Northerly Annexation District No. 89; and
WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed
is uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the
territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of
influence of the affected city; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to provide that the proposed
Northerly Annexation District No. 89 be subject to the following
terms and conditions:
NONE
;and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed Northerly
Annexation District No. 89 are as follows:
a. The area in question is within the sphere of
influence of the City of Azusa as adopted by
the Local Agency Formation Commission in 1975.
b. The proposal is a logical expansion of the
boundaries of the City of Azusa.
NOW, THEREFORE, this Resolution of Application is
hereby adopted and approved by the City Council of the City of
Azusa, and the Local Agency Formation Commission of the Los
Angeles County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the
annexation of territory as described in Exhdibit "A", according
to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner
provided by the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reogranization Act
of 1985.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Azusa, and the Local Agency Formation Commission of the Los
Angeles County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the
annexation of territory as described in Exhibit "A", according to
the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided
by the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.
The City Clerk of the City of Azusa is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution together with the necessary
documents and processing fees, with the Executive Officer of the
Local Agency Formation Commission.
1986. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of January,

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing resolution was
duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a
regular meeting thereof, held on the 6th day of January, 1986,
by the following vote of the Council:

NOES; COUNCILMEN: NONE
