HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 82500 0 RESOLUTION NO 8250 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF CITY ADMINISTRATOR LLOYD WOOD, AND SETTING THE FINAL COMPENSATION THEREOF WHEREAS, reference is made to that certain agreement dated March 19, 1984, by and between the City of Azusa and Lloyd Wood, and WHEREAS, pursuant to its terms, the City Council wishes to waive its right to 60 days' written notice and wishes to regretfully accept the resignation of City Administrator Lloyd Wood, effective at the close of business on June 1, 1987; and WHEREAS, as of that date, Lloyd Wood ceased to be the City Administrator and returned to his full-time position as Chief of Police; and WHEREAS, pursuant to paragraph E of the agreement, the City wishes to retain Lloyd Wood as a consultant to assist in the transition to the next City Administrator, for a period which, for practicality and payroll purposes, shall continue through August 8, 1987, during which time Lloyd Wood shall be compensated at the same rates as effective on June 1, 1987, as appropriately adjusted for the cost -of -living, and reverting to the compensation of Chief of Police on August 9, 1987; Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the City Council of the City of Azusa does, as outlined above, regretfully accept the resignation of City Administrator Lloyd Wood and does express its appreciation for his energetic service to the City of Azusa. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 8th day of June 1987. MAYOR I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held on 8th day of June 1987.
