HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 8198RESOLUTION NO. 8198 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF AZUSA FROM JOHNNY JOHNSON, GLENN WATSON, DOROTHY CURRIER AND ELIZABETH JOHNSON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa hereby accepts and approves the Grant Deed conveying certain real property from Johnny Johnson, Glenn Watson, Dorothy Currier and Elizabeth Johnson to the City of Azusa in substantially the form of the Grant Deed attached hereto as "Exhibit A," and authorizes the Mayor to execute the Certificate of Acceptance of said Grant Deed on behalf of the City. The City Administrator is authorized to execute escrow instructions, title insurance applications and such other documents as are necessary to complete the conveyance of the real property from the grantors to the City. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of March 1987. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 16th day of March 1987, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS AVILA, COOK, LATTA, MOSES CRUZ ABSENT: /COUNCILMEMBERS NONE CITY CLERK U EXHIBIT "A" Lot 38 of Subdivision No. 2 of the Azusa Land and Water Co., in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California as per map recorded in Book 43 Page 94 of Miscella- neous Records in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, Excepting from said Lot 38 that portion thereof lying northerly of the westerly extension of the northerly line of the Azusa Agricultural Water Company property described as the -West 660 feet of the south 660 feet (said distances being measured along the south and west lines, respectively) of Lot 59 of said Subdivision No. 2, Also Excepting from said Lot 38 that portion thereof lying Northwesterly of that course described in the declaration of taking entered in Case No. 7302, Civil, of the District Court, a certified copy of which was recorded on July 18, 1947 as Instrument No. 1639 in Book 24825 Page 89 of Official Records of said County, as having a bearing and length of "South 37 54' 57" West 1200.14 feet."
