HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 81830 0 RESOLUTION NO. 8183 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING STEPHEN HARDING FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY WHEREAS, the individual lives of human beings may be likened to separate way maps; here, one is but a rutted, narrow path along which the sojourner wends a torturous way; a way which leads nowhere for it finally vanishes in thorny thickets; there, one is a wide road, clean and well-defined. It, however, runs in a maddeningly dull, humdrum circle. Its traveler goes nowhere punished, as it were, to repeat a closed circuit throughout a stultifying and redundant life. Viewed ubiquitously, the numerous teeming life courses mark a giant human ant hill; however, there are a few exceptions: one is exemplified by STEPHEN HARDING whose life course is carefully laid out and accurately marked with progressive milestones, each indicating a predetermined interim goal; the synergic total indicates a full and meaningful life, one facing and successfully treating challenges as they appear, and AREAS, although employed by the City of Azusa for only a short period, dating only from November Fourth, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-five, STEVE has, nevertheless, established himself professionally and socially as an excellently endowed, qualified, eminently effective individual. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, while mourning the loss of a singular employee, nonetheless, unites in congratulating him on his accession to a career progression, in a position well suited to one of his many qualities; it furthermore extends its sincere gratitude and commendation to STEPHEN HARDING for what, in a short time span, he has done to help move the City of Azusa into a bright new future.
