HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 84230 0 RESOLUTION NO. 8423 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING MANUEL ALVA FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY WHEREAS, MANUEL ALVA has labored tending the Municipal Vineyards of the City of Azusa, since he was hired on June Sixth, Nineteen Hundred and Sixty, and WHEREAS, He will always be fondly remembered for his technical acumen and ready, homespun wit, and WHEREAS, the City was well -served through the yeoman service he lavished on his duties, and WHEREAS, now that he is retiring he will be missed by all whose paths crossed his; verily, the number is legion, for MANUEL has, in one way or another, treated with many; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, recognizing the worth of an employee of MANNY'S calibre, unites in commending him for the many and always generous contributions he has made to the City over the years and, further, wishes him a long and serenely happy life in his exceedingly well-earned retirement. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this Sixth day of June, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-eight. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 6th day of June, 1988, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: CITY CLERK AVILA, STEMRICH, NARANJO, LATTA, MOSES NONE NONE
