HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 8483RESOLUTION NO. 8483 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ADOPTING A FEE FOR THE FILING OF INITIATIVES. WHEREAS, the California Elections Code was amended in 1987 regarding the requirement that the proponents of any initiative petition file with the City Clerk a "Notice of Intent to Circulate Petitions" (Elections Code Sections 4002 and 4002.5), and WHEREAS, the City is obliged to prepare a ballot title and summary within fifteen (15) days; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, as follows: Any person filing a Notice of Intent to circulate a petition with the City Clerk shall pay a fee of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), to be refunded to the filer if, within one year of the filing of the notice of -intention, the City Clerk certifies the sufficiency o-f.,the petition. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of August, 1988.
