RESOLUTION 8481
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA VACATING THE
STREET KNOWN AS TODD AVENUE,
SOUTH OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Azusa hereby
finds and declares as follows:
A. This vacation proceeding is being conducted pursuant to
Sections 8320 through 8325 of the Streets and Highways
Code.
B. On June 20, 1988 the City Council adopted Resolution
8441 declaring its intention to vacate that portion of
a street known as Todd Avenue, south of Foothill
Boulevard.
C. The City Clerk published Resolution Number 8441 in the
manner required by Sections 8320 and 8322 of the
Streets and Highways Code and posted notices of
vacation in the manner required by Section 8323 of the
Streets and Highways Code.
D. A hearing was conducted by the City Council on the
vacation described in this Resolution on July 18, 1988,
at which time all evidence relating to the proposed
vacation was heard and considered by the City Council.
E. The City Council finds, from all the evidence submitted
at the hearing, that the portion of the street
described in this Resolution is unnecessary for present
or prospective public street use.
F. The City Council also finds that the portion of the
street described in this Resolution is not useful as
non -motorized transportation facilities.
G. The street vacation described in this Resolution is
consistent with and in conformance with the Azusa
General Plan and its elements.
SECTION 2. The vacation of Todd Avenue, south of
Foothill Boulevard is subject to all of the terms and conditions
set forth in the Owner Participation Agreement by and between the
City of Azusa Redevelopment Agency and the Price Company, dated
July 18, 1988.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Azusa hereby
vacates the City street known as Todd Avenue, south of Foothill
Boulevard, more particularly described on Exhibit A, which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. A map
showing the location of the proposed vacation is attached hereto
as Exhibit "B". Specifically reserved from this vacation are all
existing overhead and underground utility easements.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify a copy of this
Resolution and transmit the same to the County Recorder for
recording in accordance with the terms and conditions of the
Owner Participation Agreement by and between the City of Azusa
Redevelopment Agency and the Price Company, dated July 18, 1988.
Upon recordation of this Resolution, the above described area
shall no longer constitute a public street.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

Those portions of Lots 32, 33, 43, and 44 of Subdivision No. 2,
Azusa Land and Water Company, in the City of Azusa, in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of said County, described as
follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Tract No. 34377, as per map
recorded in Book 925, Pages 32, 33 and 34 of maps, in the office
of the county recorder of Los Angeles County; the point of
beginning, thence southeasterly along a line bearing S 89 53' 40"
E 89.01 feet to a point on a curve concave to the southeast with
a radius of 30.00 feet; thence southerly along said curve through
a central angle of 85 23' 13" an arc distance of 44.71 feet to a
point on a tangent curve, concave to the northwest with a radius
of 330.00 feet; thence southerly along said curve through a
central angle of 20 59' 22" an arc distance of 120.89' to a
point on a tangent curve, concave to the southeast with a radius
of 270.00 feet; thence southerly along said curve through a
central angle of 25 50' 08" an arc distance of 121.75 feet;
thence southerly along a line bearing S 0 07' 39" E 83.92 feet;
thence southerly along a line bearing S 0 23' 02" W 322.18 feet
to a point on a tangent curve, concave to the northeast with a

beginning point of a compound curve, concave to the southwest and

50.75 feet to a point on the northline of said tract No. 34377, a
radial bearing through said point bears N 0 06' 20" E; thence
easterly along a line bearing S 89 53' 40" E 31.78 feet to the
true point of beginning.
