MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING. JANUARY 17, 1938. 7:30 P. M.
This motion failed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Strohmeier, Arnold.
Noes: Councilmen: McIntire, Carr.
Councilman Dickerson not voting.
Councilman Strohmeier challenged Mayor Carr's Councilman
vote on both motions in lieu of Councilman Strohmeier
McIntire's statement that this is a personal challenged Mayor
issue. Carr's vote.
City Attorney Miller was requested to rule on
' the challenge and his ruling was that Council- City Attorney
man McIntire's statement to the effect that Miller's ruling.
the matter was a personal issue, reflects
only Councilman McIntire's opinion on that
subject and was not sufficient to bar Mayor
Carr from voting.
Moved by Councilman Dickerson, seconded by
Councilman McIntire that the following
requisitions be allowed: Requisitions.
956-987-988-989-990-991-992-993-994.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Dickerson, Strohmeier,
McIntire, Arnold, Carr.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
Moved by Councilman Dickerson, seconded by
Councilman Strohmeier that the following
bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn
upon the Treasury for the same. Bills.
Carried by the following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen:; Dickerson, Strohmeier,
IvIcIntire, Arnold, Carr.
Noes: None. Absent: None.
