RESOLUTION NO. 8665
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA REGARDING NON -CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES
AND ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA EFFECTIVE JULY 17, 1989
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Whereas, the non -classified employees of the
City of Azusa are not covered by a meet -and -confer process; and
SECTION 2. Whereas, the salary, stipend, and
compensation for elected and appointed officials of the City of
Azusa need to be codified for administrative purposes; and
SECTION 3. Whereas, it is appropriate at this time to
make adjustments in wages and benefits to certain employees and
officials and to restate certain existing wages and benefits for
administrative convenience; and
SECTION 4. Whereas, there is currently existing
authorized Memoranda of Understanding with representatives of
those employees covered by a meet -and -confer process with respect
to wages, benefits and compensation.
SECTION 5. Now, therefore, be it resolved that the
City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby grant adjustments
to non -classified employees, elected and appointed officials
resulting in the salary ranges, stipends and/or benefits
indicated in Exhibit A attached.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17th day of July, 1989.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of July, 1989, by
the following vote of Council:

PART-TIME EMPLOYEES ELIGIBLE FOR PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM BENEFIT
Any part-time non -classified employee who works in excess of one
thousand (1,000) hours in the fiscal year and who qualifies as
defined by the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) shall
have his/hers contribution to the PERS paid by the City.
PART-TIME HOLIDAY PAY
Any part-time non -classified employee who is assigned to work
twenty (20) or more hours each week on a consistent basis
throughout the fiscal year shall be entitled to a pro -rated paid
holiday not to exceed one-half day (4 hours). Holidays observed
in 1989-90 shall be the following days provided the employee is
on the payroll the day before the holiday or the day after:

Memorial Day
A part-time employee shall be entitled to premium pay for all hours
worked in excess of forty (40) hours within the employee's regular
work week. Holiday pay shall count towards the 40 hours required.
In compliance with FLSA, the minimum timekeeping interval shall
be fifteen minutes. Periods of time of seven (7) minutes or less
shall be rounded down and periods of time of eight (8) minutes or
more shall be rounded up.
ELECTED OFFICIALS -- CAFETERIA BENEFIT PLAN
All elected officials shall be entitled to the same cafeteria
benefit plan and insurance coverage as executive management
employees (provided that any cash benefit selected does not cause
the official's salary to exceed the limitations established by the
Government Code).
ELECTED OFFICIALS -- VEHICLE ALLOWANCE
The Mayor and Councilmembers shall receive three hundred thirty
dollars ($330.00) per month as a vehicle allowance.
