The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular adjourned session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Strohmeier, Arnold and City Clerk. Absent: Councilmen: Dickerson, McIntire, Carr and City Attorney. Moved by Councilman Strohmeier, seconded by Councilman Arnold that due to lack of a ' quorum the Council adjourn to meet again on Wednesday, February'16, 1938 at 7:30 P. M. Roll call. The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular adjourned session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Councilmen: Dickerson, Roll call. Strohmeier, McIntire, Arnold, Carr, City Attorney and City Clerk. A communication signed by the President and Communication read Secretary of the 20-30 Club was read and and ordered placed ordered placed on file, on file. City Attorney Miller reported on a Bond form City Attorney re - for new businesses and the Council authorized ported on Bond form him to have same printed. City Engineer Kressly was summoned before the City Engineer Council and reported that in his opinion, it Kressly reported would take approximately J500 from the General on sewer system, Fund to complete curbs and gutters on Pasadena etc. Avenue, a Streets of Major Importance Project, Mr. Kressly also reported on a project for construction of a sewer system and disposal lant whereby the total estimated cost is 42390009 the City to furnish $17,000 and the Federal Government the remainder. He said the Government wanted the City to guarantee this amount but gave Mr. Kressly no assurance that the Government would guarantee their amount. It was unanimously agreed that the City not proceed under such conditions. Mr. Kressly then reported on cutting the curb and remov- ing poles on the corner of Angelero Avenue, Ninth Street and Crescent Drive. Moved by Councilman Arnold, seconded by City Engineer and Councilman Strohmeier that the City Engineer Street Superinten- and Street Superintendent be authorized and dent instructed instructed to out the curb at the above to cut curb on cor. mentioned corner; to contact the Southern ofeleno and California Edison Company, the Pacific Electric Crescent Drive. Railroad Company and the Superintendent of Light and Water in order to gain their consent to the removal of poles. Carried by the following vote of the Council; Ayes: Councilmen: Dickerson, Strohmeier, McIntire, Arnold, Carr. Noes: None. Absent: None. Moved by Councilman,Arnold, seconded by Chief of Fire Councilman McIntire that the Chief of the Fire Department to Department and all members be instructed to instruct members take necessary steps to become thoroughly to become familiar familiar with locations of all fire hydrants, with location of fire hydrants. 346
