RESOLUTION NO. 8787
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA VACATING A CERTAIN ELECTRIC AND WATER
EASEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, determine
and declare that:
A. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the provisions
of Streets and Highways Code Section 8330, et seq., which
provides for the summary vacation of certain public service
easements:
B. The easement to be vacated by this Resolution is
specifically described and set forth on Exhibit "A", which
is attached hereto and incorporated herein as though set
forth in full (hereinafter referred to as the "Easement");
C. The property this easement serves, and where the
easement is located, has been vacated for a redevelopment
project. In order to serve the redevelopment project, all
utilities serving the subject property will be relocated and
new easements recorded.
SECTION 2. The Easement and the facilities which are a
part thereof, consisting of water and electric lines, is hereby
vacated, and from and after the date this Resolution is recorded,
the Easement and facilities thereon shall no longer constitute a
public service easement.
SECTION 3. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8336 of
the Streets and Highways Code, the City Clerk shall cause a
certified copy of this Resolution of vacation, attested by the
Clerk under seal, to be recorded without acknowledgment,
certificate of acknowledgment, or further proof in the Office of
the Recorder of Los Angeles County, and no fee shall be charged
for such recordation. Upon such recordation, the vacation is
complete.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of January ,
1990.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular
meeting thereof, held on the 15th day of January 1990 by the
following vote of the Council:

EXHIBIT "A"
An easement for electric and water lines in favor of the City of
Azusa, a municipal corporation, recorded on June 15, 1955 in Book
48075, Page 38, Official Records in the office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County, State of California.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
A strip of land 5 feet wide along the northwesterly boundary of
Lots 7, 22 and 23 in Block 26 of Azusa, in the City of Azusa,
County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 15, Pages 93 to 98 inclusive of Miscellaneous Records, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County.
Said easement borders on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad
right-of-way, from Sunset Avenue to Angeleno Avenue.
